Three reasons why you should use a real, actual mortgage broker.

Hi everyone! I’m Alex Roy with John L Scott. And I’m Anthony loader’s with Priority Home Lending. And we’re here today with another video where we get to, I get to interview an excellent lender and ask some important questions. This time I want to find out three reasons why it’s better to work with a real actual mortgage broker.

Hang on a second. Why are we trying to make a distinction between real actual mortgage broker? What’s the alternative? The alternative, and it is a popular alternative, it could be an online lender where you do have a real person but he could be two, three thousand miles away in a call center taking your application.

I’ve definitely seen the commercials for that on TV.

So, what are the three reasons? Number one, “an in-person experience”. What are we talking about there? Yeah absolutely. I take the time to sit down with all my clients.

Get to shake a hand, get to meet me. It’s not just a one touch kind of deal. We’re gonna sit down and as soon as the loan application goes, you’ll probably have questions. We have a loan estimate, an appraisal, a closing disclosure, closing, we’re gonna talk a lot. It’s not like you just give me your paperwork and off we go.

You know it’s important where you can actually touch, feel, and know the lender you’re working with. Right. I feel like with some of these commercials that I see on TV, they make the process sound so simple that yeah you just need to get pre-approved. But, I know this from experience, there’s a lot of different loan products, a lot of different ways you could construct this mortgage and I don’t want to talk about that on the phone for two hours.

Yeah, meet the guy you’re working with and power through it, and get educated on it.

It’s much easier to be educated person than over the phone. Absolutely. I love that. Number two, “Being local matters”. Like, we’re talking like 503 local here?

I’m a 503 cellphone number. I live in the area. You know, one complication you could have with an online lender, if it’s a guy back east and you’re off work, let’s say, three or four o’clock or whatever, and he’s gone for the day, it’s after business hours, you can’t get in touch with them because of the time difference here. Give me a call. I’m local.

I’m on the same time as you. I work after hours too. We can get things done and make it happen. Excellent. Yeah, in this competitive market, I know that if you find that house at 6 p.

You get off work we go look at a house this is the one we got to get the offer in we might need to call the lender every six seven pm an evening that’s okay yeah that’s absolutely it’s always okay love it love it and number three the personal touch to help you win what is this is some extra level service here absolutely you know after I put my name on a pre-approval and I sent it out if you’re making an offer on home I will call the listing agent and tell them the strength of the pre-approval okay and then also on top of that we have our certified mortgage reading program and a seller’s market and a bidding war it’s great to have that you’re a fully underwritten loans stamped off by the underwriter before we have a house at all actually shorten the close time and it’s as good as cash it has been reviewed assets credit all the documentation and we’re good to go just need to find the house so if you’re having trouble II under a fully underwritten so if you’re having any issues with that you’re getting beat out by people actually have a separate approval letter for that saying this is a fully under in loan and that’s really the only way you can sometimes compete against these cash offers has to be fully under it down yeah that’s awesome well thank you so much Anthony as always if you guys have questions about real estate or about lending give us a call anytime the numbers are in the description of this video I’m Alex Roy.
